Our Wimmerhof

Your Farm Stay Hosts Wimmerhof

Family Arnold warmly welcomes you to the Wimmerhof in Chiemgau at the Chiemsee! The farm has approximately 15 ha of grassland and 2.5 ha of silage maize as our family's business.


We, Paul and Maria, are proud parents of five amazing children, and two of our sons live on the farm with us to jointly run the Wimmerhof farm with us. Andreas, a certified landscape gardener, helps us by applying his training and work experience here at the Wimmerhof. Our farm's successor, Paul Junior, lives here at the farm with his lovely wife and three beautiful children Sofia, Simon, and Eva (born in 2011, 2014, and 2016) and is a certified carpenter. He is responsible for the entire interior of our charming holiday apartments, starting from the architectural planning to the beautiful finish you can enjoy while on holiday here with us.



Our Working Farm

We manage our farm, which was first mentioned in records as early as 1420, as a grassland operation with dairy farming. We currently keep around 15 dairy cows plus offspring of the German Fleckvieh breed.


The milk produced by our cows is taken to the German cheese dairy Bergader, which is famous for its “Bavaria Blu” cheese, where it is turned into delicious cheese. Some of our milk is processed into cheese separately, which our guests can then enjoy on the farm, in the cheese noodles or on a tasty stone oven pizza.
